RGS has vast competence in regional geophysical surveys (Electrical resistivity tomography/imaging; Seismic refraction, reflection and Multichannel Analysis of surface waves, Continuous seismic wave, downhole test, Thermal resistivity test, Magnetic surveys, Magnetotelluric and Transient electromagnetic surveys); groundwater resources assessment and development; groundwater modeling; mineral exploration; geotechnical studies; and environmental impact assessments (EIA) & audits.
The Senior Consultants have been frequently commissioned to carry out consultancies for project identification, formulation, management and evaluation. In addition, regular training courses and workshops have been conducted particularly on new and emerging survey techniques and equipment.
The Company is well equipped with modern investigation tools, required to carry out detailed geophysical surveys (ABEM SAS 4000 with capacity for resistivity, SP and IP, PASI Seismic refraction and reflection). The firm has computers that provide infrastructural support for handling geophysical softwares such as: Oasis Montaj; Geosoft; Seisimager; Res2DInv). Additionally, GIS softwares are available for data collation, integration and presentation i.e. ArcGIS, ENVI, Erdas Imagine, ILWIS)
